She and Dewey owned and operated 5th Ave. He vacationed with his West Virginia family often, and soon after his retirement he accepted their invitation to move to Huntington permanently. She passed quietly with her children around her.Ruth was born November 29, 1928 in Logan Co., W.Va., a daughter of the late Rufus Workman and Martha Jane McClellan. He was born in Branchland, W.Va., the son of the late Harriett May and Stewart Edley Adkins. There will be no services. RONALD FLOYD WEBB, 54, of Genoa, W. He was an avid fan of country western music. He was also preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Vitura Adkins, one sister, Eva Lee Cuckler, and one cousin, Linville Adkins. GEORGE W. MAYNARD, 72, of Wayne, W.Va., died Thursday, August 9, 2007 at home. He is survived by his wife, Julie Napier Smith of Wayne; one brother, Kyle Smith and his wife Mikie of North Carolina; one sister, Ann Hoffman of Milton, WV; two sisters-in-law, Anna Jean Smith of Wayne, and Ore Lee Smith of Virginia; special sister-in-law Sally Smith of Lavalette; and special nieces, nephews, and friends whom he loved very much. He was born January 10, 1934 in Wayne County, W.Va., a son of the late Fletcher Drenner and Pinkie Adkins Drenner. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Mt. Special thanks to St. Mary's Medical Center CVICU nurses: Julie, Chad, and Jennifer. Burial will follow in the Stevens Family Cemetery, White’s Creek, with nephews serving as pallbearers. Stokan was 29 years old. He leaves behind one son, Geoffrey Glen Adkins and his wife Deborah Sue Adkins of Wayne. His sisters Ethel Dew and Martha Lundy, and one brother Dee Williamson also preceded him in death. His wife, Lilly Mae Perry Marcum also preceded him in death along with three brothers, Homer Marcum, Hobert Marcum, and George Marcum, and eight sisters, Frances Crum, Vadie Marcum, Sadie Marcum, Cora Trail, Ocie Crum, Bernice Lowe, who was his twin sister, Velvie Johnson, and Mae Copley. The family would like to extend a special thank you to all the love and care shown by so many, including grandchildren, Daniel, Joshua, Mandi; special nurses at Cabell Huntington Hospital Home Health, Rhonda Perry, Virginia Allen, and Becky Salyers; and the staff at Hospice House of Huntington.
